Donna was born to the late Rhynold and Crystal Fager in Limon, CO on March 10, 1942. She graduated from Flagler High School in 1959 and married Bill Petersen that summer. Donna and Bill lived in Colorado and Nebraska before moving to Rapid City, SD where they have lived since 1985.

Donna is survived by Bill; her children Lisa, Khristin, Kent and his wife Angie, Kurt and Michael and his wife Colleen;18 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; her sisters Delores and her husband Charles, Linda and Carol as well as many nieces and nephews.

Upon completing her Associates Degree in Nursing,Donna worked for the Indian Health Service in Pine Ridge SD and then at Ellsworth Air Force Base where she retired. She worked all of her years as a labor and delivery nurse and found great purpose in helping so many women and their new families.

Donna was a talented musician and artist and enjoyed doing needlework, quilting, wood carving and doing stained glass work. She and Bill enjoyed great times hosting and visiting with friends for many meals and card games.

To honor Donna's wishes, there will not be any funeral services. She wanted to be remembered like she was...full of life and love.
