RAPID CITY-Doris Arleen Endres was born November 5, 1924 in Minneapolis, MN to Hans Stone and Alida (Johnson) Stone. Doris grew up in Rapid City, SD, married Earl Endres on Nov. 16, 1944, and moved to Colorado. After raising five children she spent many years traveling the world. Sadly, Earl passed away in 1984. She returned to Rapid City, SD in 2010. Doris died on Jan. 7, 2015 at the age of 90. She is survived by sons Doug (Holly) Endres and Steve (Linda) Endres of Denver, CO, daughters Laura Endres of Hill City, SD and Janet (Ed) Griffith of Denver, CO, daughter-in-law Marilyn Welburn Endres of Calgary, Alberta, sister Elaine Turner of Noblesville, IN, brother Harold (Laverne) Stone of Rapid City, SD, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Earl Endres, brothers Sam Stone, Floyd Stone, and Don Stone, and one son, David Endres. A private family service will be held at a later date. Burial of cremains will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO.
