RAPID CITY -- Doris M. Skelly, 92, Rapid City, died Tuesday, August 3, 2010, at Westhills Village Health Care. Doris was born July 4, 1918 in Colton S.D. to Rudolph and Mary (Bowen) Baumberger. She grew to adulthood and attended school at St. Marys Catholic School in Dell Rapids. Doris married Donald B. Skelly June 27, 1951. She was a loving wife, mother, and caregiver for her mother, Mary. She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help . Survivors include one sister, Sister Gabriella (Rosella) Baumberger of Yankton; two sister-in-laws, Darlene Baumberger, Dell Rapids and Alva Baumberger, Deadwood; 31 nieces and nephews; and many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; eight brothers; one sister, and three sons, Patrick, James, and Michael. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at Our Lady Chapel at Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. A visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
