Obituary

Darlene Fritschen, 82, Rapid City died Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the Clarkson Healthcare Center, Rapid City. Darlene Fritschen was born on a farm near Spencer, So. Dakota. She attended St. Peter's grade school and graduated from Edgerton consolidated high school in Farmer, So. Dakota in June of 1950. After high school she was employed by Wilson Trucking Co., in Mitchell, So. Dakota. In 1951 she moved to Rapid City and went to work for Barber Transportation Co. where she advanced to the position of office manager until she retired. She was a long time member of the Zonta Club and Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling and playing golf. She had been a member of the Heart Ranch and Meadowbrook Golf Clubs. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Tom Beyer, nephews Dan Beyer and Pat Beyer, grand nieces Jennifer Beyer and Melissa Padilla, tow grand nephews Ryan Beyer and Tom Padilla, in California. A requiem mass will be offered at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at 10:30 am on Monday, January 19th, in Rapid City Her ashes will be interned at San Luis Rey Mission Cemetery in Oceanside, California.
