Dorothy G. Marso, 90, died Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Golden Living Center Bella Vista, Rapid City. Dorothy served in the United States Army from 1944 to 1946. Survivors include one son: John [Karen] Marso of Rapid City; five daughters: Susan Rodriguez of Rapid City, Patti [Rick] Kallemeyn of Missouri City, TX, Mary Marso of Albuquerque, NM, Janet [Don] Cole of Fergus Falls, MN, and Jean Marso of Aurora, CO; seven grandchildren; one step-grandson; five great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Francis in 2007, one son: Michael in 2006, one brother: Curtis, and two sisters: Marjorie and Helen. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 10:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 4500 Jackson Boulevard, Rapid City. Inurnment of her cremains will take place at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD at 1:00 pm with Military Graveside Honors provided by the Rushmore VFW Post #1273 and South Dakota National Guard.
