Dorothy Grace Schulte, 102, passed away Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, at home. She was born Sept. 8, 1913, to Harriet Maud and Leon (Stewart) McFarlane in Bismarck, ND. Dorothy was a beautician and operated shops in Huron and Milbank, SD. Dorothy married John F. Schulte on Jan. 27, 1939, at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Milbank. After Johns' retirement, they resided in Dallas, TX, from 1973 until 1989, when they returned to South Dakota. Traveling to Europe and numerous countries with their good friends, Phyllis and Ralph Dees, was an annual adventure. They were married for 67 years until John's death on Jan. 11, 2006. Dorothy was also preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Fe Hayden. Survivors include her four children, John Schulte of Minneapolis, Mary (Gerald) Connolly of Kimberly, WI, Frances Schulte of Phoenix, AZ, and Timothy (Lynn) Schulte of St. Paul, MN; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with 7 p.m. wake services Thursday, Oct. 15, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. A Christian funeral mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16, at the Church of St. Therese, the Little Flower with Fr. Bill Zandri presiding. Interment will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
