Rapid City – Douglas Dale (Butch) Mallory, age 71, died on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Rapid City Regional Hospital due to liver failure.

Doug served honorably in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He served as a police officer in the Dallas, TX area for 15 years. He spent the last 27 years living in South Dakota in the Lead-Deadwood, Hot Springs and Rapid City areas.

Mr. Mallory is survived by his two sons, Max and Bill Mallory. He also leaves behind 5 grandchildren: Douglas, Melanie, Dawson, Harper and Taegan.

Date and location of a memorial service is yet to be determined. He will be interred at Black Hills National Cemetery.
