RAPID CITYDwayne A. Snipes, 43, of Rapid City, died at Rapid City Regional Hospital on Tuesday, November 26, 2013. He was born on June 9, 1970, in Flushing, NY, to James Irving Snipes,IV and Linda (Smith) Snipes. He grew up in Rapid City and graduated from Central High School. He was employed at Red River Sanitation, Kieffer Sanitation, Terry's Auto and was currently a water truck driver for T.D. Transport in the North Dakota oil fields. He loved to cook! He enjoyed being outdoors and riding motorcycle as well. He loved to be around his family and cook for their functions. Survivors include his mother, Linda Snipes, Rapid City; 2 daughters, Ranieca Snipes and Tiaja Snipes, both of Rapid City; a son, Tru Snipes, Rapid City; a brother, James I. Jimmy' Snipes, V, Rapid City; a sister, Keisha (Norman) Kamanga, Houston, TX; paternal grandmother, Ella Marie Snipes, Queens, NY; maternal grandmother, Phyllis Smith, Queens, 3 grandchildren, Amara Volin and Rylee and Aniyah Vanden Hoek and nieces and nephews, Dejtia, Aaryona, Spencer, DaVaun, Ta'Keyah and Jaleel. He was preceded in death by his father, on Dec. 20, 2011. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home with the Rev. Herb Cleveland officiating.
