Dwayne Zoller, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 9, 2017, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Dwayne was born in Linton, ND, and moved with his family to Vale, SD, at the age of 7. The family worked there "hopping beets" for a short period before moving to Rapid City in 1941. He attended school in Rapid City. Dwayne married Emilia Zoller in 1954.

Dwayne worked at Dacotah Cement Plant for 45 years. He and his wife also owned and operated the Apollo Motel. He also had other side businesses that employed many of his children. He and Emilia enjoyed retirement in Arizona making many friends and enjoyed their days of patio parties and dances.

He will be truly missed. Dwayne was a happy, jolly, calm soul! He always wanted his family around.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Emma Zoller; grandson, Derrick; son-in-law, Dan Nelson; brother, Bill Zoller; and sister, Yvonne Steele.

Dwayne is survived by his wife of 63 years, Emilia; four daughters: Wanda (Gary) Hermanson, Delona (Jerry) Muhlbeier, Monica (Tim) Conrad, and Dueene (Jeff) Zoller; a son, Troy (Joleen) Zoller; 10 grandchildren: Neasha Sitzler, Dana Nelson, Lyndsie Muhlbeier, Taylor Muhlbeier, Travis Conrad, Trinity Conrad, Ashley Zoller, Nolan Zoller, Maia Zoller, and Kira Zoller; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Adelle Riss and Eleanor Freier; and a brother, Ralph Zoller.

Visitation begins at 4 p.m., with a 6 p.m. Christian Wake service on Thursday, July 13, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home.

Christian Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 14, at Blessed Sacrament Church, with Rev. Brian Lane presiding. Interment will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
