HILL CITY - Edith Dohr, 71, Hill City, loving wife of LeRoy Hoff, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2008, due to long term health complications. Edith leaves behind her sons, James Fitch and William Dohr, her daughter Dora Griswald and her grandchildren, James, Jonathon, Joshua, Jeremy, Daniel and Nicholas. Edith was born on the 24th of July in 1936 in Gross Gerau, West Germany, the daughter of Wilhem Heck and Dorothea Posauner. Edith's childhood was a tale of survival in a war-ravaged countryside. Her life was a storybook of love and losses and she found her main strength in motherhood. Her end of life was filled with chronic health complications and she finally lost her battle with her husband at her side. She will be sorely missed and incredibly loved by all who knew her. Visitation will be one hour prior to services, which will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 26, at the Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home.
