HILL CITY- Elena Estrada De Escalante, 47, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021, at Monument Health Hospice House.

Elena was born on May 5, 1974, in Pueblo Viejo Michoacán, Mexico to Gil Estrada Munoz and Hermelinda Duran Romero.

She married Jose Rene Escalante January 1, 1999, in Querendaro Michoacán, Mexico. They had four daughters: Estefani, Jaquelin, Jessica, and Alondra.

Elena always put her family first and was a loving mother, daughter, and friend. She exuded happiness and cared for everyone she met. Elena had a big heart and was a hard worker that provided for her family. There are a lot of things that we will miss about her but will miss her advice and her ability to help us with anything. She was the best mom and will miss her.

Elena's sisters would say that she was always someone they could call and could trust with anything.

Even though she won't be physically here, she will always be in our hearts.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gil Estrada Munoz.

Elena is survived by her husband, Jose Rene Escalante; four daughters: Estefani, Jaquelin, Jessica, and Alondra; all of Hill City; her mother, Hermelinda Duran Romero; siblings: Maria Luz Estrada, Gil Estrada; Lourdes Estrada; Beatriz Estrada; Leticia Estrada; Maria Rosario Estrada; Mario Alberto Estrada; a big extended family.
