Rapid City Elenora Hellwig, 95, Rapid City died Saturday, July 03, 2010 at the Clarkson Mt. View Health Care Facility in Rapid City. Elenora was born October 19, 1914 at Sedewick, Colorado to David and Dorthy [Offelman] Foos. She met Floyd Hellwig in June of 1933. They were married December 22, 1934 at the Belle Fourche Court House, Belle Fourche, SD. To this union two children were born: Jerald and Vernon. They farmed and owned the John Deere Implement in Menno, SD. In 1950 they moved to Sioux Falls, SD and lived there until 1995, when they moved to Rapid City. Floyd died on July 23, 2008 and Elenora continued to live in Rapid City until her death. Survivors include two sons: Jerald [Phyllis] Hellwig of Rapid City and Vernon [Brenda] Hellwig of Rapid City, seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers: Clarence Foos of Hermosa, SD and Larence Foos of Nisland, SD; and one sister: Dorothy Hauck of Utica, SD. Elenora was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Floyd, two brothers: Art and Carl; one sister: Erma; and one granddaughter: Stacey. Visitation will be at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home on Thursday, July 8 from 8:30 am to time of service. Services are scheduled for Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 10:00 am at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home with Joe Hobbs officiating. Entombment will follow at Pine Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
