Custer - Eliza Henry Patterson died on October 23rd at Custer Regional Senior Care at the age of 86. Eliza was born on October 31st 1927 in Sterling, CO. She was a longtime resident of Keystone and an active member in the church and community. She met and married the love of her life Claire Patterson on August 20th 1947. Eliza was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 sisters and her 2 brothers, as well as her daughter Linda Forgey. She is survived by her 2 sons, John Patterson (Leanne Patterson) of Gillette, WY, and Greg Patterson (Deb Patterson) of Fairburn, SD and son-in-law Tim Forgey. She loved and adored her 4 grandchildren, Laura Forgey, Grant Patterson (Heather Patterson), Tracy Harrison (Matt Harrison), and Megan Sprenger (Chris Sprenger) as well as her 3 great grandchildren. She is reunited with her true love of 60 years Claire. Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 pm Tuesday, October 28 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home, 2700 Jackson Boulevard, Rapid City with a Wake/Rosary Service at 6:00 pm. Funeral mass will be 10:00 am Wednesday, October 29 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 1014 East Madill St., Keystone with Rev. Janusz Korban as celebrant. A luncheon will be served after the services at the Keystone Community Center. Burial will be at 2:00 pm at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD. Arrangements are provided by Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. Instead of flowers the family would prefer a donation be made to the Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Keystone.
