RAPID CITY--Ellen R. Paul, 92, Rapid City, died Saturday, July 5, 2008 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. Mary Reisdorfer was born August 29, 1915, to Henry and Hattie (Heitgen) Reisdorfer in Crawford, NE. Ellen grew up in Long Pine, NE. graduating from Long Pine High School. She graduated from Chadron State College with a degree in teaching and taught 4 years in Nebraska. Ellen married Ralph Paul, October 29, 1939. The couple moved to Glendale, CA where she taught for 26 years, retiring in 1976. They moved to Rapid City in 1989. She was one of Holiday Hills first residents and had an active social life and especially enjoyed playing cards. Ellen is survived by and a sister, Lorraine Ormesher, Rapid City and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ralph in 1991, and several brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2008, from 6:30pm until 7:30pm at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home in Rapid City with a Christian Wake Service at 7:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, July 9, at Blessed Sacrament Church, 4500 Jackson Blvd, with Father Dan Juelfs presiding. Following a luncheon, burial will be in Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis. A memorial has been established to St Joseph Indian School, N. Main St, Chamberlain, SD, 57326.
