RAPID CITY | Erin L. "Eronn" Van Dam, 34, passed away Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, at Rapid City Regional Hospital with her family at her side. Erin was born May 15, 1980, in Rapid City to Carla Van Dam and Jerry Barrett. She attended schools in Rapid City and graduated in 1999. She moved to Colorado and lived in Denver and Aurora and was employed in the IT department at a large credit union for many years. Erin moved back to Rapid City a year ago. Survivors include her mother and "pops," Carla and Phil Streeter, Rapid City; her grandma, Donna Spitzer, Rapid City; stepsister, Lea Messick, Panama City, FL; stepbrother, Ricky Streeter, Oconomowoc, WI; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends; her "baby," Nala the Pomeranian and step-grandparents, Edwina and George Whitaker, Black Hawk She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Barrett; her grandmother, Audrey Van Dam; and her grandfathers, Vernon Van Dam and Billy Wayne Barrett. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with 7 p.m. Christian Wake services Tuesday, Sept. 2, at Blessed Sacrament Church. A Christian funeral mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, at the church, with the Rev. Grant Gerlach presiding. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
