Estel "Glyde" Turpin died April 28, 2020 at her home in Denver, CO.

She was born September 6, 1926 in Artesian, South Dakota to Charles and Stella [Goudy] Witzel. She married Dr. Ellis Paul Turpin on January 1, 1955 at Rapid City, SD. Ellis died June 19, 1997 at their home in Denver.

They lived in Parkston, SD, Vermillion, SD, several places in Colorado, Laramie, WY, Spearfish, SD, as Ellis was involved with schools and universities.

Glyde is survived by nephews and nieces.

There will be a Private Family burial at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD.
