Estella May Kleeman was called home to rest on the morning of October 21, 2011, in Las Vegas, NV. She was 93 years old. Estella (Stella) Kleeman (nee: Barton, Lueck) was born on April 4, 1918 in Schoharie, New York, daughter of William J. Barton and Stella A. Moak . Estella was an outgoing girl who enjoyed dancing and playing sports. She attended high school in Aberdeen, South Dakota, graduating in 1936. She went on to attend Aberdeen Business School. She married Charles J. Kleeman in December of 1936. They were blessed with two children, Charles (Chuck) and Sandra (Sandie). As a young woman, Estella was involved in a number of organizations including the USO and the Cathedral Choir. She loved volunteering at Cathedral Grade and High School as her children were growing up. Estella was widowed in 1961 at the age of 43. She was then employed at 1st Federal Savings of Rapid City going on to become an Assistant Vice President and the Manager of their School Savings Department, retiring in 1980. Estella moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1995 to be closer to Sandie and her family. Estella is survived by her sister Martha J. Johnson of Elk River, Minnesota, her daughter, Sandie Ryan and son-in-law Ken of Las Vegas; grandchildren Michelle Gutwald (Dennis) of Las Vegas, Tim Ryan of Las Vegas, Jennifer Hardman (Glen) of Las Vegas, Mark Kleeman (Teri) of Castle Rock, Colorado and Susan Lund (Eric) of Elko, Nevada; 10 great-grandchildren and her nieces and nephews. Estella was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sr., her son, Chuck, her granddaughter, Sharon, her parents, and her sister, Marjorie Kodet. A Christian wake service with Rosary recitation will be held on Wednesday, October 26th at 7:00 pm at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home in Rapid City with Rev. Ed Vanorny officiating. She will be laid to rest with her husband on Thursday at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
