Esther E. Muldoon 96, was called to the heavens by her Lord on March 19, 2018, at Good Samaritan Saint Martin's Serenity House.

She was born August 6, 1921 in Vivian, South Dakota, to the late Adolph and Apolonia (Schuolte) Regennitter. She was one of 9 kids from this union.

Esther later met and married Henry Muldoon. From this union came four kids. Katherine, John, Jerome, and Bill Muldoon.

Esther and Henry started their family South of Kennebec later moving to Kennebec. They ran the hardware store there until the 1950's when they moved the family to Rapid City. Esther obtained a Bachelors in Education and began teaching in the Rapid City Area School District. While teaching she obtained a Masters in Education. Esther retired from teaching in the late 1980's to become a full time grandmother.

Survivors include sister Rita Schwartz, Saint Libory, NE, three children, numerous grandkids, great grandkids, greatgreat grandkids, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, son John, and 7 siblings.

Visitation will be at 6pm, with a 7pm wake on Thursday, March 22 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home.

Christian funeral mass will be offered at 10 am on Friday, March 23, at Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. A luncheon will be at Blessed Sacrament Church following the burial.
