Rapid City – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eugene P. “Beno” Weisbeck, who departed this life peacefully on March 30, 2026 at his home with his family. Eugene was born on February 8, 1945 in Hague, North Dakota to Herman and Marie (Schall) Weisbeck.

Eugene was raised on a farm in Herreid, South Dakota, the youngest of nine children. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. Eugene met his wife Jackie later in life and shared 20 beautiful years together.

On warm summer days he would ride his Harley thru the hills, enjoyed working in the yard and sitting on the deck soaking up nature and the sun. He would often say this is paradise.

He is survived by his wife: Jackie; siblings: Rita Fjeldheim of Herreid, SD, Virginia Silvernagel of Minneapolis, MN, Walter (Paula) Weisbeck of Prescott, WI; sister-in-laws: Cyrella Weisbeck of Herreid, SD, Viola Weisbeck of Palatine, ILL, and Rose Weisbeck of Herreid, SD; mother-in-law: Pauline Miller of Rapid City; brother-in-law: Vern (Jolene) Miller of Mapleton, ND and Jerry (Theresa) Miller of Mandan, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Herman and Marie Weisbeck; his brothers: James, Donald, Cyril, Raymond “Frances”, and Leonard “Slick”; brother-in-law: Orland; and sister-in-law: Eileen.

Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home.
