Eula Moyne Mercer 96 of Lawrenceville, GA formerly of Rapid City, SD passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Hospital System in Braselton, GA.
Eula was born August 15, 192 6to Ivan and Bessie (Alsip) White at the home of her grandparents in Haigler, Nebraska.
Eula spent her childhood on the family farm near Fort Morgan, Colorado, where she graduated from High School. Due to the shortage of nurses during WWII, Eula worked as a nurse at the Fort Morgan Hospital in Fort Morgan Colorado throughout her High School years. She married Ralph Mercer in 1944 and moved to Rapid City where Ralph was a gunnery instructor at Rapid City Airbase.
Eula was active in the Black Hills Girl Scout Council as a leader and staff member. She was a founding member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Rapid City and served as a representative of Church Women United for several years.
Eula is survived by Barry Mercer (Lanette), Lawrenceville, GA., Marlene Davis (Eugene) of Lehigh Acres, Florida, 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.
Eula was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and three brothers.
