Eulalie Nell McNulty, 93, of Rapid City and formerly of Piedmont, died at Rapid City Regional Hospital Auxiliary Hospice House on Thursday, July 22, 2010. She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on October 12, 1916, to Fred and Eulalie (Poirier) Bachman. Nell was united in marriage to James McNulty on September 25, 1937 at Our Lady of the Lake in Plymouth, Minn. In 1943, the couple moved to Rapid City, where Nell was active in Cathedral school and church for many years. She was also the administrative assistant to the director of Special Education for the Rapid City Public School system for many years. Following retirement in 1982, she and her husband moved to Piedmont and were involved in many programs at Our Lady of the Black Hills parish. Survivors include her children, Jim and Carol McNulty, Rapid City, Mary Ellen and Joe LaLomia, Ruskin, Fla., Judy and Walt Wilson, Piedmont, Kathy and Lowell Amiotte, Rapid City, Nell and John Bessette, Casper, Wyo., Patty and Steve Hotchkiss, Freeport, Ill. and Peggy and Jim Dimock, Elko, Nev.; 31 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and 1 (nearly) great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. McNulty, Sr., in 1997 and 3 brothers. Visitation will be on Monday from 2 until 4 p.m. at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. Visitation will continue from 6 until 7 p.m. at Our Lady of the Black Hills Catholic Church in Piedmont with a Christian wake service following at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 27, at Our Lady of the Black Hills with Rev. Ed Vanorny officiating. Burial will follow in Piedmont Cemetery. Memorials have been established for Hospice House or Our Lady of the Black Hills.
