Rapid City – Eunice I. Hanson, 91, died Wednesday, December 23, 2020.

She was born November 5, 1929 in Bristol, SD to John and Bertha Skaare. She graduated from Bristol High School in 1947.

On December 11, 1949 she was united in marriage to Ronald Hanson at Bergen Lutheran Church in rural Bristol, SD. To this union, two sons were born: Michael Alan and Steven Ronald.

Eunice came to the Black Hills with her family in 1963. She and her husband began their tourist industry in Keystone, SD and then Dinosaur Park in Rapid City.

In 1990, her husband Ron, and son Steve purchased Southside Cleaners where she worked alongside them.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Hanson, her son Michael Hanson, her parents, two sisters, and a brother.

She is survived by two sisters: Noel (Kenny) Anderson and Leona Wattier; a son Steve (Cathy) Hanson; and a granddaughter Michelle Hanson.

Graveside services and burial will be held in Bristol, SD at a later date.
