Obituary

Rapid City - Francis Theodore (Ted) Logan, 64, passed away in Rapid City, SD. Ted was born September 26, 1944 in Sheridan Wyoming. He spent his childhood on the Rafter 33 Ranch in Big Horn, WY and graduated from Big Horn High School in 1962. Ted attended Rocky Mountain College in Billings, MT, and then the University of Wyoming where he received BA and MA degrees. He was an Eagle Scout, a Vietnam Veteran and a member of the American Legion. He spent the next 34 years working for the BLM and then for the US Treasury Department as an IRS Agent and Instructor. Ted will always be remembered for his wonderful, humorous drawings, paintings, and prose. Ted is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sheryl Simons Logan, Rapid City and his brother Thomas W. Logan of Cottonwood AZ. Visitation will be from 5 until 7PM on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. Funeral services and burial with military honors by Rushmore VFW Post 1273 and the South Dakota National Guard will be 1PM Wednesday at Black Hills National Cemetery with The Rev Rich Ressler of Emmanuel Episcopal Church officiating. A memorial has been established to the Hospice of the Hills, Rapid City, South Dakota.
