Rapid CityFlorence J. Ashley, 93, passed away at Rapid City Regional Hospital on Friday, December 9, 2011. She was born on April 6, 1918, in Dickens, Iowa, to Fred and Irene (Hill) Reeverts. Florence was united in marriage to Lowell E. Pat Ashley and the couple lived in Rapid City. She was a dietician with the local hospitals. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. Survivors include her son, Jack Ashley and his wife, Nancy, Rapid City; a grandson, John Ashley, his wife Sherri, and their children, Dylan and Madison, of Rapid City; a granddaughter, Regan Ashley, Cheyenne, WY and a sister, Louise Quaintance, of Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband in 1995. Visitation will be from 4 until 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 12, at Calvary Lutheran Church with Rev. Dwight Stensgaard officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Lawn Memorial Park.
