Obituary

RAPID CITY | Florence Lucille "Flo" (Reeves) Wagner passed away Nov. 24, 2015, at the home of her granddaughter in Milwaukie, OR, after celebrating her 102nd birthday with family.

Florence was born in 1913, in Avon, SD, to Luella and George Reeves, and was raised on a farm in White Lake, SD. She married Marcus Wagner in 1933. After marriage, Flo worked as a waitress, and later moved to California to work in the shipyards during World War II.

At an age where most people are retiring, Florence drew on her incredible work ethic to create her own successful business, Roadrunner Brochure Distribution. She loved her work which required her to drive all over South Dakota, visiting family and friends and making new friends along the way.

In those rare moments she wasn't on the road, Florence enjoyed reading westerns and playing cards. For those that knew her, Flo's hospitality, mischievousness, and generosity of spirit will be impossible to forget. She was a force of nature and her strength and grit have inspired those whose lives she touched.

She is survived by her children, Marilou Yarber of Rapid City, Jim (Sherilyn) Wagner of Napa, CA, and Wilbur Wagner of Portland, OR; her brother, Don Reeves of White Lake, SD; as well as seven grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus Wagner; a daughter, Evelyn; brothers, Windy, Bill, and Warren; and sister, Madge.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Wilbur Holz officiating.

Interment will be at Pine Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to Western Resources for dis-ABLED Independence-Adult Day Services, 4110 Winfield St., Rapid City, SD 57701 or to the Humane Society of the Black Hills.
