Frances Jane Dennis passed away at 85 years of age on Saturday July 6th, 2024 at West Hills Village Nursing Home in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Jane was born August 5th, 1938 in St. Jo, Texas. She was the oldest child of Earnest and Florence Paschall.
Jane graduated Valedictorian from Nocona High School in Nocona, Texas. She attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas where she met her future husband, Hugh Ralph Dennis. Ralph and Jane were married April 16th, 1959 in McAdoo, Texas. They lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico where they had their two sons, John and Bruce Dennis. They lived in Las Cruces, New Mexico before moving to Lubbock, Texas and then settling in Big Spring, Texas. After retirement, they moved to Rapid City, South Dakota.
Jane loved God and dedicated her life to serving Him. Jane and Ralph both spent time volunteering with the Big Spring Federal Prison Ministry for 25 years. They also provided home Bible studies and taught Bible classes at their church home. Jane took pride in cooking, sewing, and being a mother, grandmother, and aunt. She also enjoyed playing cards and taking walks with her friends.
Jane is survived by her husband, Ralph; her two sons, John and Bruce; John's wife, Sabrina; Bruce's wife, Amy; her two brothers, Martin and Stephen Paschall; Martin's wife Lisa; her sister-in-law, Lyndell Phillips; her 7 grandchildren; her 7 great-grandchildren; and her many loved nieces and nephews.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents, her brother John Paschall, her half-sister Imogene Buck, and her brother-in-law Jack Dennis.
Jane's funeral service will be held Saturday, July 13th, 2024 at 10:30AM at Black Hills Church of Christ ( 13654 US-16, Rapid City, SD 57702) in Rapid City, South Dakota. Honorary pallbearers are Ezra Navarro, Nathaniel Maverick Dennis, Faith Dennis, and Victoria Dennis.
