Rapid City – Frank J. Dallago, 77, died Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital after a year long battle with cancer.

Frank Joseph Dallago was born May 27, 1940 at Brooklyn, New York to Julius and Fanny Dallago.

He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He married Sandra Catherine Atkinson in New York. They moved to Rapid City 40 years ago. Frank worked as a custodial engineer in the Rapid City School system and when Rapid City Stevens High School opened he continued his career there until his retirement. He also owned and operated several restaurants and bars over the years and passed on his knowledge to his son, David. Frank also loved to fish and hunt and was a huge Yankee's baseball fan. He was a great husband and father.

Survivors include his wife: Sandy Dallago of Rapid City and son David Dallago of Buffalo, SD; and one sister Cathy.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents.

His Memorial Service will be 2:00 pm, Friday, May 11, 2018 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home with Colonel Army (Ret) Chaplain Herb B. Cleveland.

His inurnment will be at a later date at Black Hills National Cemetery.
