Rapid City - Frank D. LeLaCheur, 70, Rapid City, died Monday, December 19, 2011 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. Frank D. LeLaCheur was born January 30, 1941 at Dewey, South Dakota to Lee and Fern [Evans] LeLaCheur. Frank grew to adulthood and attended school at Hot Springs. He married Joyce Marie Nelson on March 31, 1959 at Hot Springs. While in Hot Springs Frank owned and operated several businesses. In 1981 they moved to Scottsbluff, Nebraska where he owned and operated several businesses. They moved back to Hot Springs in 2001 to retire then in 2006 they moved to Rapid City to live due to Franks health. Frank enjoyed to camp and fish. He was a member of South Canyon Lutheran Church and a past member of the Hot Springs Fire Department, Jaycees and the Elks Lodge. Frank is survived by his wife: Joyce LeLaCheur of Rapid City; two daughters: Vicki [Dale] Walz, Hot Springs; Pam[Kevin] Harvey, Gillette, WY; one son: Dan[Kreena] LeLaCheur, Rapid City; one sister, Myrtle [Dewey] Trent, Oelrichs; one brother, Donald [Joan] LeLaCheur, Coffeyville, KS; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; five step grandchildren; 10 step great-grandchildren. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, one brother: Roscoe, and two sisters: Joyce and Betty. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 am Friday, December 23 at South Canyon Lutheran Church, 700 44th Street with Rev. Bruce Thalacker officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery at Hot Springs, SD. Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
