Frank L. Solano, 62, of Rapid City, died Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital.

He was born on January 10, 1956 in Rapid City to Frank and Evelyn (Woods) Solano in Rapid City. He was raised in Rapid City and went to Central High school.

Frank devoted his energy to boxing; becoming the Tri State Golden Gloves Champion, stock car racing, softball, fishing and hunting, however, he loved spending time on his motorcycle.

He married Crystal Cain in Rapid City on August 17, 1981.

Frank worked at Landstrom ' s Black Hills Gold Creations for 20 years and more recently at Dakota Designs as a press operator, mixing alloys and melting gold.

He is survived by his son, Levi Solano, Rapid City, his grandsons, Chase and Marcus, Rapid City, his wife, Crystal, Rapid City, his mother, Evelyn Solano, Rapid City, brothers; Bill and John Solano, Rapid City and a sister, Carol Roos, Rapid City and numerous nieces and nephews.

Frank was preceded in death by his father, Frank and sister, Rosemary.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 28 beginning at 5:00PM with the Recitation of the Rosary at 6:00pm at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at St Isaac Jogues Catholic Church on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 10:00am.  Interment will be in the Mt Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to his grandsons ' Chase education fund at Dakota Star Federal Credit Union.
