Rapid City - Fred M. Ross, 92, Rapid City, died Friday, February 15, 2013 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. Fred served in the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife: Leah Joy Ross on August 23, 2007. Survivors include his son: Stephen Ross of Benicia, California; his daughter: Vicki Wallace of Colorado Springs, Colorado; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren: one brother: Louis H. Ross of Wichita, KS; and one sister: Patty Feddersen of Hill City, SD. Services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, February 19 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home, 2700 Jackson Boulevard with Chaplain [Ret] Herb B. Cleveland officiating. Visitation will precede the services starting at 12:00 noon. Burial will be at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis with full military honors by Rushmore VFW Post #1273 and South Dakota National Guard. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Hill City Senior Center.
