Gail Marie (Duwenhoegger) Christopherson, age 78, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday March 29th' 2025. She was born in LaMars, IA on April 25th 1946 to Carl and Victorine (Dickie) Duwenhoegger. The family moved near Sisseton, SD in 1949 where they continued to farm until 1962 when they bought a home in Rapid City. Gail graduated from Rapid City High School in 1964 and worked at Bennett Clarkson Hospital. She married Thorphn (TJ) Christopherson in 1974 and moved to Hammer, SD where he worked at the grain elevator. TJ's work then took them to Ipswich, SD where Gail resided until 2021 when she moved to Rapid City to live out the remainder of her life.

Gail was always a great advocate for animal rights and loved her dogs, cats, and yes-even racoons with her whole heart.

She is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Dickie, her beloved husband TJ, and sister Carlene Deck.

Gail is survived by her brother Carl (Joe) Duwenhoegger, Rapid City, sisters Norma Volz of Summerset, SD and Susie Taylor (David) of Rapid City, and many nieces & nephews.
