IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Garry Richard
Neiderworder

Garry R. Neiderworder was born on June 17, 1947 in Philip, SD to Morris and Mavis Neiderworder. Growing up on the family ranch, M&M Herford Ranch, north of Midland, SD. He attended country grade school near the ranch, attended Philip High School where he participated in football, basketball and track, graduating in 1965. Following high school, he joined the South Dakota National Guard, returning to the ranch after his discharge.
In 1971 M&M Herford Ranch expanded its operation to a ranch along Spring Creek south of Rapid City. Garry had a great eye for good cattle, judging and showing Herford cattle for several years. Garry traveled thousands of miles promoting and showing cattle including taking Grand Champion Herford Female at the Denver Stock Show.
Garry married Sharon Kemnitz on July 7, 1971 and became dad to her son Troy. He ranched for several years until he decided to pursue the real estate business in 1988. He purchased Rapid Reality a few years later, retiring in 2009.
In the fall of 1992 Garry met his lifetime love and partner, Marcia Houk. They lived in Rapid City and at their lake house at Angostura Lake near Hot Springs. They truly enjoyed their time at the lake whether it was on the lake or by the pool in the summer or just watching movies and doing jigsaw puzzles on snowy days in the winter.
This year, in early spring, Garry was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) and this past Saturday morning, at the age of 72, Garry peacefully passed into the arms of the Lord. His family loved him dearly and will miss him terribly. Although he is gone from us now, he would want all of us to celebrate the good life that he had. We can all be thankful that we had him in our lives and continue to remember him as the great guy that he was.
