Gayle Norman Jorgenson, 88, passed away peacefully at Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City on December 19 th , 2022.

Gayle was born January 29 th , 1934 in Vienna, SD to Elwood Jerome and Gladys Luvina (Blegen) Kloster. He graduated from Clark High School in Clark, SD in 1952 and joined the United States Army in 1953, where he served his time overseas until 1956. Upon returning to the states, he moved to California for a short period of time , until he eventually moved back to S D where he worked for Western Electric . While working in Sioux Falls, he met, Beverly Ann ( Mathisen ) , and they married on May 6 th , 1961 at Willow Creek Lutheran Church near Dell Rapids, SD. Gayle and Beverly soon moved to Rapid City, SD where they eventually had 4 children and built their forever home in 1972 . Gayle retired from Western Electric in 1986 and went on to owning/operating Black Hills Golf Car Company and later manag ing 2 water companies. His hobbies included computers, clocks, train sets, watching NASCAR , gardening, fixing things and attending auctions . He was a long time member of the NRA

He is survived by his wife Beverly Ann, sons; Clinton Jorgenson, Mer l in (Tracy Varney) Jorgenson, daughters; Colleen (Kenny) Klocke, Deanna Kyne, brother; Terry (Bonnie) Kloster , 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren , and several nieces and nephews .

He was preceded in death by his son Loren in 2021 , son-in-law Shane Lekness , parents, and his 2 brothers; Harlan and Sterling Kloster .

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, January 7 th , 2023 at 11:00 AM at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home in Rapid City, with Rev. David Piper officiating. Online condolences can be left at www.osheimschmidt.com .
