Rapid City - Georgie Marie Crow, 94, of Rapid City, SD died Friday, April 7, 2017, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

She was born to the late George  and LaRena (Hendricks) Crow on August 16, 1922 in Chatsworth, IA.

Georgie graduated from Hawarden (Iowa) High School in 1939.  She worked as a telephone operator before beginning her career in the army.  During this time, she was stationed in Washington State and Ellsworth Air Force Base as an accountant.  She settled in Rapid City where she lived for over 50 years.

Georgie was an avid bowler and enjoyed league bowling for many years.  She also enjoyed playing golf during her retirement years.  One of the highlights of her retirement years was taking a Freedom Flight to Washington, DC to view the Vietman War Memorial.

Georgie is survived by one brother, Dallas L. Crow of Hawarden, IA; six nieces:  Gayle, Jeanne, and Mary Crow of Hawarden, IA; Kay(Dann) Larson of LeMars,IA; Julie(Chad) Pravecek of Merrill, IA, and Joyce(Rob) Scheitler of LeMars, Ia: three great-nieces and two great-nephews; and one great-great nephew and one great-great niece.  And, also, she is survived by several cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents:  George Crow and LaRena Crow Jackson Johnson, her sister, Irene, in infancy.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm on Monday, April 17, at Osheim and Schmidt Funeral Home, Rapid City, SD  with Rev. Matt Fallgren presiding.

Interment will follow at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD with full military honors.
