Gloria Grace Kozak Redshirt-Tyon, 72, of Rapid City, South Dakota passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018. Born on February 11, 1946 in Pine Ridge, South Dakota she was the daughter of Margaret and Calvin Tyon Sr. She lived and raised her family in this area for several years and worked as a factory worker, business owner, corrections officer and homemaker. The most important role she played was mother and grandmother. She loved and cared deeply for all of her family and sacrificed often to provide for their well-being and happiness.

She is survived by her two sons, Greg Gossel and Christopher Kozak; three daughters, Elizabeth Dostal, Stephanie Menken and Vanessa Gossel-Cooke; nine grandchildren, Joshua, Lauren, Dylan, Gabriel, Daisha, Cyris, Rowan, Myla, Reese. She is proceeded in death by her mother and father, her son David Allen Gossel, two brothers Calvin Tyon and Steven Red Shirt Tyon, and one sister Joanne Tyon.

Memorial services will be conducted at 10:00 am, Wednesday, November 21, 2018, Osheim & Schmidt, 2700 Jackson Blvd. Rapid City, South Dakota with Rev. Herb B. Cleveland.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:00 am at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at Pine Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
