H. Ray Herr Jr. RAPID CITY - H. Ray Herr Jr., 87, Rapid City, died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, at Rapid City Regional Auxiliary Hospice House. He served in the Army during WWII from 1943 until 1946. Survivors include his wife, Rose Herr; two sons, Harold R. Herr, III and Kimball C. Herr, both of San Antonio, Texas; one stepson, Marvin Hyde, Rapid City; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 2, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. Services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 3, at the funeral home. Inurnment, with military honors provided by Rushmore VFW Post 1273, will be at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis. A memorial has been established to the Rapid City Regional Hospital Auxiliary Hospice House.
