Rapid City - Harold Rowe, 93, died Friday, August 14, 2015 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital. Harold Norman Rowe was born September 26, 1921 at Carter, SD to Henry and Christina [Horstman] Rowe. He grew to adulthood and attended school at the Millbore, SD area. He married Libbie Johanna Wagner on May 11, 1942 at Rapid City. He was employed in Winner prior to entering the United States Army Air Corp in 1942 and served until 1943. He then moved to Rapid City and was employed with Rapid City Implement Company starting there in 1944. He became a co-owner with the company and continued working as a salesman and manager. He retired in 1987. Following his retirement he continued to buy and sell machinery. His wife Libbie preceded him in death on November 8, 2011 after sharing 69 years together. He was a member of Cathedral of our Lady of Perpetual Help, Knights of Columbus, and the Elks Lodge. He is survived by his two sons: Doug [Nita] Rowe of Piedmont and Dave [Melissa] Rowe of Rapid City; 6 grandchildren: Heather, Michelle, Matthew, Christy, Susan, and Jenney; 7 great-grandchildren: Colin, Lucky, Kalista, Gavyn, Christopher, Anna and Ronan; and a special niece Janet Kahler. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one grandson Jeremy, one brother, and three sisters. Visitation will be 5:30 pm Thursday, August 20 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home, 2700 Jackson Boulevard with a Christian Rosary at 6:00 pm led by Rev. Jonathan Dillion. Christian Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Friday, August 21 at Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 520 Cathedral Drive. Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery at Rapid City next to his wife Libbie. In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations to be sent to the charity of your choice.
