Obituary

RAPID CITY- Harriet Christine Klinetobe, 86, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Rapid City Regional Hospital Auxiliary Hospice House. She was born on September 1, 1926 in Rapid City, the daughter of Harry and Mini (Petterson) Dugdale. She grew up at Silver City and at the age of 17, she moved to Oregon and worked in the Kaiser Shipyards as a welder during World War II. She returned to Rapid City, due to her father's ill health, and was employed by the Telephone Co. for a period of five years. She was employed by Magnacraft for a time and also worked in the cafeteria at Rapid City Central High School. Harriet married Robert "Bob" Klinetobe on October 11, 1948 in Rapid City. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the Esther Circle at the Church. She was also a member of the Widow's Club and enjoyed playing bunko with members of the club. Harriet was also a member of the North Rapid Civic Association, the Rushmore VFW Post 1273 Auxiliary and Prime Timers. Harriet enjoyed the Symphony Orchestra concerts and enjoyed playing cards with friends. Survivors include eight children Rick (Ann) Klinetobe, Fresno, Calif., Dan (Joann) Wagoner, Yon Calla, Ore., Bob Klinetobe, Joyce (Reuben) Saenz, Cathy (Mike) Atchley, Becky (Rick) Grueschow and Diane (Shelby) Burrus, all of Rapid City, and Shirley (Ted) Bearce, Twin Falls, Idaho; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and sisters Alice Martin, Fort Collins, Colo., Bev Hendricks, Liberty, Mo., and Esther Norman, Fort Pierce, Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Klinetobe; brothers: Marlin and Harry Dugdale and stepbrothers, Bud Lewis, Jerry Lowe and Rollie Lowe. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 7, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 8, at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. John Britt officiating. Interment will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis. A memorial has been established to First United Methodist Church.
