Rapid City – Harriet Young was born June 10, 1936 to Harry and Myrtle Poss in Rapid City. Harriet was the youngest of 3 girls with her sisters Helen Denny and Beverly Bradford.
She graduated from Central High School in 1954 and then graduated from the Business School in 1955.
She married Wilbur C. Young on July 30, 1955 and they had four children: Guy, Paul, Amy, and Jack.
Harriet passed away peacefully at Avantara Saint Cloud Nursing home on March 18, 2026.
Her Memorial Funeral Mass will be at Blessed Sacrament Church, 4500 Jackson Boulevard on Thursday, March 26 at 10:00 am.
Burial at Pine Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery to follow at 11:30 am.
