Helen Mavis Crisman, 86, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016, in Custer. She was born on March 17, 1930, to Everett and Ethel (Carpenter) Pope. Helen lived in Rapid City for most of her life.

Helen married Gerald Crisman in 1948 and was married for 54 years.

Helen is survived by her brother, Dale Pope of Ohio; her sister, June (Russell) Sorenson, Rapid City; her children, Linda (Conrad) Lopez of Arizona, Patty (Dan) Rogers, Summerset, Mary Bickett of Wyoming, Roberta (Charles) Hook of Texas, and Robert (Yvonne) Crisman, Rapid City; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; her parents; grandson, Jeramy Rogers; great-granddaughter, Sierra Rogers; brother, Vern; and son-in-law, Tim Bickett.

Visitation begins at 9 a.m., with 10 a.m. services Monday, May 23, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
