RAPID CITY - Helen M. Lovell, 100, Rapid City, died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, at home. Helen Marie (Quigg) Lovell was born on Dec. 2, 1910, in Gordon, Neb. She was a humble woman who dedicated her life to her family. On Nov 4, 1941, Helen married Edward A. Lovell, who preceded her into eternal life with our Lord. Helen and Eddie lived in Scottsbluff, Neb., until moving to Rapid City in 1965. Survivors include a son, Paul Lovell, Rapid City; a daughter, Kay (Scott) Smallwood, Rapid City; three grandchildren: Ron (Tammy) Crecelius, Brian (Diana) Crecelius, Tamra (Dan) Kruse, all of Rapid City; four step-granddaughters, Stephanie Barton, Sherrie Rose, Julie Kjellerson and Pam Smallwood; eight great-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one brother; and two sisters. Helen is an inspiration to all of those around her. Her absence has left a hole in our lives. Helen Lovell led a blessed life and is now home with her Savior. Rest in Peace. Visitation will begin at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, 2011, with a Christian wake service at 7 p.m., in the Our Lady Chapel at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, at the chapel, with the Rev. Michel Mulloy presiding. Interment will follow at Pine Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Rapid City.
