Holly married Stan Paris in December 1961. She worked for the American Red Cross in Rapid City from 1972 to 1982. Holly worked for the Lester family at several of their hotel facilities in Rapid City, and she did bookkeeping and tax preparation for several clients in the Rapid City area until her retirement in 2013.

Holly loved her crafts/hobbies that included embroidery, cross-stitch and needlepoint.

In retirement, Holly enjoyed making trips to Deadwood for some one-on-one battles with the slot machines at some of her favorite gambling halls there, and continued to look forward to the weekend trips to Black Hawk, CO, for some gaming while staying in Denver.

While living in CO, she and Nicole's dog, Pyro, became great companions. He was always by her side there and she was a great defender of a sometimes naughty dog.

She will be missed by all her family and friends that knew her, especially those who knew the hard shell she wore, which covered a very soft, caring, loving heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Peggy Welsh.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, at Osheim-Schmidt Funeral Home in Rapid City.
