Rapid City Ida Jean Weaver, 79, died Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital Hospice of the Hills. She was born June 16, 1930 at rural Elkton, South Dakota to John C. and Reva Blanche [Duncan] Henderson. She attended school and graduated from high school. She married William Harold Weaver on September 17, 1949 at Rapid City, SD. Throughout their married life together they lived at Long Valley, SD, Sioux Falls, SD, ONeill, NE, Chambers, NE, Mesa, AZ, and Rapid City, SD. Ida was a full time homemaker. Her family, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were most important to her life. She loved to play cards and do crafts. She is a former golfer and bowler. She was a girl and boy scout leader and taught Sunday school and was a vacation bible school teacher. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Rapid City. Ida is survived by her husband: William Bill Weaver of Rapid City; one son: Billy [Sally] Weaver of Rapid City; four daughters: Sandra [Steve] Christensen of Hatton, ND, Pamela [Steve] Myrum of Cheyenne, WY, Sherry [Dale] Sicheneder of Chambers, NE, and Marsha Vink of Rapid City; 13 grandchildren: Casey Petrick, Andrew Christensen, Jeremy Weaver, Christopher Weaver, Timothy Weaver, Rebecca Baumeister, Brianna Dupre, Bryan Miller, Joseph Myrum, Isaiah Sicheneder, Riley Sicheneder, Ashley Vink, and Megan Vink; 13 great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Alta Dexter of Apple Valley, MN and Georgina Koopman of Apple Valley, MN. Ida was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Leslie Henderson, LeRoy Henderson, and James Henderson; one sister: Edna Weaver; one grandson: Joshua Sicheneder; and one granddaughter: Emily Sicheneder. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service with services scheduled for 10:00 am, Saturday, December 19 , 2009 at the First Presbyterian Church, 710 Kansas City Street, with Rev. Bob Evans officiating. Burial of her cremains will follow at Pine Lawn Memorial Park at Rapid City.
