Obituary

Inez Eilene Kubal, 69, of Rapid City, died Sunday, April 5, at Rapid City Regional Hospital. She was born Sept. 22, 1939, in Winner to Nels and Grace Anderson. As a young girl she lived with her family in many different towns in eastern South Dakota as well as in the Black Hills. She graduated from the eighth grade before working full time. On June 9, 1956 she married her loving husband Laddie Kubal in Deadwood. The couple lived in Rapid Valley where Mrs. Kubal worked for the Rapid City Post Office as a Rural Mail Carrier for over 30 years. She enjoyed many activities, such as bowling, crafting with her special group of friends, gardening vegetables as well as flowers and wonderful house plants, playing countless hours of cards with her family and friends and she also loved to travel to Deadwood and play the slots with her husband, son and daughter and their families. She took great and caring pleasure in her family, especially her two grandchildren, great-grandson and the many nieces and nephews, as well as the many children who congregated at the family home over the many years of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents; Nels and Grace Anderson, brothers Nels Anderson Jr. and Jack Anderson, sisters Jeanette Dimond, Johanna Holmquist and Grace Rice and a granddaughter, Sarah, Kubal. Survivors include her husband, Laddie Kubal; son Mike Kubal and wife Jan Osheim-Kubal, daughter Gloria Stanley and husband Gary, grand-daughter Danielle Dahlenburg and husband Jason all of Rapid City, grandson Jarrod Stanley of Eugene, Oregon, great grandson Seth Dahlenburg of Rapid City and brother Richard Anderson and wife Arlene of Hardin, Montana. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm. Wednesday at the Osheim & Schmidt funeral home. Services will be 1 pm. Thursday at the Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home with Pastor Art Sartorius officiating. Burial at Pine Lawn Cemetery will follow. A reception will be held at the Alano Society in Rapid City from 2:30 4:30. The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association.
