Rapid City Inez F. Newton, 92, of Rapid City, passed away on January 22, 2010 at Golden Living Center, Meadowbrook Nursing Home. She was born April 26, 1917 to Rolla and Flora Kennison in Hartford, South Dakota. In 1934, Inez married Paul Newton and later that same year, they moved to Rapid City where they built their home and raised five children. She is survived by one daughter, Kay (Newton) Anderson, Rapid City; two sons, Gary (Mary) Newton, Dallas, Oregon and Don (Jean) Newton, Tucson, Arizona; nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and eight great- great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul ; her parents; two sons, William Newton and Gordon Newton; two granddaughters; one son in law, Andy Anderson, and one daughter in law, Lillian Newton. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 26, 2010 until service time at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Rev. Bob Jacobs officiating. Interment will be at Pine Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Rapid City. A memorial has been established for the Golden Living Center, Meadowbrook nursing home in Rapid City.
