He is survived by his wife, Konnee Ekstrand; daughter, Tammy Ekstrand; sons: Jimmy Ekstrand; Terry Ekstrand; Pat Ekstrand; Mike Ekstrand; stepdaughter, Brandee Frein; and numerous grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
