James E. 'Jim' Gillett, 87, died on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Prairie Hills Care Center.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Janet Gillett, of Rapid City; 2 sons, Todd Gillett, of Rapid City and Mark Gillett, of Sheridan, WY; a daughter, Suzi Rietz, of Billings, MT; a sister, Geneva Edwards, Mountain Home, AR; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 pm on Monday, Feb. 18, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home.

His funeral service will be at 10 am on Tuesday, Feb. 19, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home.

Burial, with military honors, will be in Black Hills National Cemetery at 12 Noon.
