Rapid City James Mick Michael McTee, 61, died on Monday, October 19, 2009 at Rapid City Regional Hospital, after a lengthy illness. Micks wishes were to be cremated with no public services. Mick was born on October 19, 1948 at Rock Springs, Wyoming to James and Opal Marie [DeWester] McTee. He was a self taught musician at an early age and started several different bands which led him to live in several different places before moving to and residing in Rapid City, SD in the early 1980s. He was an active song writer and a recording engineer. He cared for deeply and had a very strong bond with Ronda Ann Barnes, whom he married on August 20, 1998 in Rapid City. They were truly devoted to each other. Mick is survived by his wife: Ronda of Rapid City; his son: Matthew of Rapid City; one sister: Irene Vick of St. Cloud, MN; two nieces and their families: Michele [Tim] Wirtzfeld of Sauk Rapids, MN and Suzanne [Stanley] Robbinson of Springfield, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents.
