James Tormey, age 95, died August 25, 2015 in Rapid City at the regional hospital. He was born on July 4, 1920 in Sanborn County at Letcher SD. His parents were Harold and Anna [Zimmerman] Tormey. Inurnment will be in Mountain View Cemetery next to his wife Marjorie. Jim spent his life selling women's shoes at Feinsteins in Mitchell and Herbergers in Rapid City. He enjoyed his work and also enjoyed hunting, motorcycle riding, traveling and dancing with his wife. Survivors are his son Michael of Rapid City, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren in North Dakota, sister Barbara [Paul] Graff of Sioux Falls, Clair [Marie] of Mesa AZ, and a special friend Ken Vahle of Rapid City. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Phyllis Beard, and sister Deloris Tormey. Jim was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. Memorial services will be held in the near future.
