Jason D. Ayers, 38, of Rapid City, died unexpectedly at home, Tuesday, August 18, 2015. He was born on September 17, 1976 in Rapid City to Kenneth and Mary Lou (Davis) Ayers. Jason grew up in the Pinedale area, attending Pinedale Elementary and Stevens High School. Jason worked with his dad at Gillette Dairy, then at Wright Tree Service and eventually Aim High Tree Service. He worked for two years as a cook at the casino in Flandreau. Jason loved to cook, he was a hard worker, played guitar and loved floating the Niobrara River with family. Family was his life and was a wonderful uncle, he had a deep love for family. Survivors include his parents; Ken and Mary Lou Ayers, Black Hawk, his children; Jamen, Rapid City Ravin of Florida, Ivy Jean, Farmington, MN, Hannah, Rapid City and Harmony, Enid, OK, his sisters; Dana (Gary) Sherman, Rapid City, Dottie (Dennis) Casey, Rapid City and Gina (Rod) Boadwine, Black Hawk and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a son, Trevor Whitehead, Grandparents; Roy and Bernice Davis and Ted and Doris Ayers. A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held at 1:00PM, Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. A memorial has been established by the family.
